EU Provides Enough Doses to Vaccinate 70% of Bloc's Adults

The President of European Union Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that the EU delivered COVID-19 vaccine doses that enough for vaccinating 70% of the adults reside inside the bloc.

Von der Leyen said: "The European Union has kept its word. This weekend we have delivered enough vaccines to member states to be in a position to vaccinate fully at least 70% of the EU adults this month."

Next, she highlighted that this step will help Europe to vaccinate 70% of adults by Summer, therefore, she asked all countries to speed up the vaccination rollout

"But COVID-19 is not yet defeated. We are prepared to deliver more vaccines, including against new variants," said von der Leyen, who faced sharp criticism at the start of 2021 for failing to ensure companies delivered contracted vaccines," EU Commission President asserted.

The EU is working hard for securing and protecting all its people against COVID-19 outbreak, alongside all mutated forms of the virus.

It is worthy to mention that Delta variant still raises concerns in Europe due to its strong outbreak.
