Former Cameroonian attacker and football legend Samuel Eto stated that he wished his country would qualify for the finals of the upcoming African Cup of Nations to face Egypt. In addition, Eto expressed his admiration for Liverpool's forward Mohamed Salah.

The Cameroonian stated during a press conference organized by Etisalat Egypt, " Our nation is very strong, I also hope the best for Egypt. I hope we meet in the final.
The former Barcelona legend said that he doesn't see the comparison of the Egyptian team that won the 2006 and 2010 titles, claiming that Egypt now has a world-class star, referring to Salah.
Eto opined that he thinks Salah will win the best African footballer of the year award for this year. He also said that he wishes that Salah would become one of the all time African scorers, because he admires him both as a player and a person.
