FC Barcelona has announced the renewal of defender Eric Garcia’s contract for five additional seasons, extending until 2031, after positive developments between the two sides in recent days.
Barcelona said in an official statement that the club and the player reached an agreement to extend his contract for five more seasons, until 30 June 2031.
The player will sign the new contract at a ceremony to be held next Thursday, 11 December, at the President’s Office, after which Eric will speak to the media.
The statement added that this decision reflects the club’s great confidence in a player who grew up in La Masia and who has set an example for young players.
His performances, maturity, and commitment have been essential in strengthening his relationship with the club. Garcia will continue to provide talent, leadership, and stability.
