Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, attacked again the French President Emmanuel Macron, saying he hopes France will get rid of him soon.

After Friday's prayers in Istanbul, Erdogan stated that Macron is a "trouble" for France and that the country is experiencing a hard time under his leadership.

Erdogan said that "My wish for France is to get rid of Macron's troubles as soon as possible," otherwise the country will not be able to overcome the Yellow Vest protest movement against social injustice.

Erdogan also said France lost its credibility as a medium of the Minsk group, which was created in the 1990s to encourage peaceful resolution for the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, as Paris took the Armenian side in that conflict, and Turkey sided with Azerbaijan.

Turkey’s president announcements came amid harsh rhetoric from both leaders. Relations have been tense over a host of issues, including what Erdogan characterizes as French Islamophobia, energy disputes in the Eastern Mediterranean and Libya.

The Turkish President also said that Macron needs to have his brain examined for defending caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Recently, France denounced the Turkish propaganda against Paris and recalled its ambassador for consultation.

Also, the French presidency responded to the Turkish statements, saying that "rudeness" is not acceptable, and that the Turkish policy is "dangerous."
