Egypt's Ministry of Environment has launched a new promotion campaign to raise environmental awareness and support ecotourism and natural reserves in Egypt.
In a telephone interview with Egypt's Alhayah TV channel, the Minister of Environment Yasmin Fouad said: "This new campaign sheds the light on supporting ecotourism and raising environmental awareness among the Egyptian citizens towards the importance of Egypt’s protected areas and destinations."
"We are seeking to enhance the promotion of Egypt’s eco-tourism through social media documentaries and videographers," Fouad told the Alhayah TV channel.
"The main purpose of the promotion campaign is to support ecotourism in Egypt, encourage visiting its unique protected areas and destinations, to know the different cultures of different tribes and to explore the heritage that distinguishes and makes them a primary focus for protecting the environment and the biological persity in those areas," the minister explained.
