Embassy of India Marks World Environment Day

Embassy of India in Cairo organized a Tree Plantation Drive to celebrate the World Environment Day on 3 July 2024 at the Child Museum, Heliopolis.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, ShriNarendraModi launched 'EkPedMaaKeNaam' or 'One plant for Mother Earth' Campaign worldwide to join the tree plantation initiative as a tribute to our Mother Earth and urged everyone to contribute in making our planet greener. To take this campaign forward, the Embassy of India conducted a tree plantation drive in Cairo.

The event was attended by Dr. Nader Moustafa, Member of Parliament, Dr. Nabil Helmy, Chairman, Heliopolis Association, Dr. Mona Samir Ramadan, Manager of Public Awareness Deptt, Ministry of Environment, other officials and environmentalists.

Ambassador of India to Egypt, AjitGupte appealed to everyone to join a tree plantation initiative in honor of Mother Earth and make an invaluable contribution to protect the environment. He emphasized that if everyone joins this initiative, there will be an environmental revolution.
