EMA Predicts Rainfall across Egypt This Week

On Sunday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that light to moderate rainfall is expected across parts of Egypt’s north coast and Lower Egypt on Monday and Tuesday, with light rainfall expected across parts of the northeastern coast on Wednesday.

It added that parts of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, north coast, South Sinai and southern Egypt will see windy weather on Monday and Tuesday.

"Windy weather will prevail in parts of South Sinai and southern Egypt on Wednesday and in parts of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northeastern coast on Saturday," EMA said.

Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the north coast, and north Upper Egypt will see cold days this week, while weather during daytime is expected to be warm in South Sinai and south Upper Egypt.

"All parts of the country, however, will see extremely cold nights this week," EMA added.

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 16-22 degrees Celsius and lows of 9-11 degrees until next Saturday.

The northern coast is expected to see highs of 15-20 degrees and lows of 9-11, while South Sinai will see highs of 20-27 and lows of 11-15.

North Upper Egypt will see highs of 17-26 and lows of 5-9.

South Upper Egypt will see highs of 20-23 and lows of 10-11 until Wednesday, while temperatures in this area will increase dramatically to record highs of 27-33 until Saturday.
