El Sawy Culturewheel will host a local rock music festival next month. The lineup of the festival consists of four local rock bands: Riverwood, Tafaqum, Cairopathx, and Rocksea.

Founded in 2018, the band targets playing a medieval music mood mixed with oriental metal music. The band released only one full-length album entitled "Fairytale" which was streamed more than 1 million times on Anghami.

Moreover, the band won second prize at BA Center of Arts competition of independent/underground bands. Therefore, it performed at BA Summer Festival.

Concerning the band's participation in the festival, Riverwood vocalist and composer Mahmoud Nader told SEE, "It is challenging to perform during these times especially we will travel from Alexandria to Cairo. But, we really miss Cairo's audience."

He added, "Riverwood has been doing nothing but working on the new album, so it is the time to bring some songs into the light."

While rising rock band Cairopathix who released 1 EP entitled "The Chosen One," and working on the band's first full-length album is considered the organizers of the night, the band shared the stage with many stars and it held various local shows.

Cairopathix drummer Marwan Mahmoud told SEE, "actually, we took the initiative of contacting both Riverwood and Tafaqum. We found them both very interested to share a stage together."

He added, "Currently our main preparations are trying to rehearse our tracks as possible. Honestly, we've been kind of rusty due to the lack of rehearsals in the past period."

The third band is Rocksea. It is a pop/rock band and it is somehow an active band since 2016. Moreover, it released one full-length album called "Taqa Makbouta" (Inner Spirit).

The final band is an oriental rock/metal band Tafaqum that will celebrate the release of the band's new album "Maal Ayam."
