Head of El Sadah El Ashraf Syndicate in Egypt and the broader Arab and Islamic world Al-Sharif Mahmoud Al-Sharif took part in a special celebration organized by Al-Azhar at Al-Azhar Mosque on Monday.
The event marked the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan victory and was attended by Dr. Mohamed Al-Dhawini, Deputy of Al-Azhar, alongside numerous scholars, Al-Azhar officials, and thousands of worshippers, both Egyptian and foreign, in an atmosphere filled with national pride and spiritual reverence.
During his speech, Al-Sharif emphasized that the 10th of Ramadan represents a defining moment in Egyptian history. He highlighted the remarkable military triumph achieved by the Egyptian Armed Forces, which is widely regarded as a strategic and tactical masterpiece that restored Egypt’s dignity and reaffirmed the strength of its army in reclaiming occupied land.
He also praised the pivotal role played by Al-Azhar scholars during the war, noting that Al-Azhar clerics stood on the frontlines, providing moral and spiritual support to Egyptian soldiers. Their presence helped uplift the morale of the troops, inspiring them to display extraordinary courage and sacrifice in defense of their homeland.
Furthermore, the Head of El Sadah El Ashraf Syndicate commended the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for its continuous efforts in reinforcing national unity and preserving Egyptian identity. He stressed that defending one’s homeland is both a religious and patriotic duty, reaffirming the Egyptian people’s unwavering commitment to their unity and resilience against any threats to national stability.
Concluding his remarks, Al-Sharif prayed for Egypt’s safety, stability, and continued prosperity. He also paid tribute to the nation's martyrs, asking God to grant them mercy as a reward for their ultimate sacrifice in upholding the dignity and sovereignty of Egypt.
