Egyptian international and Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush has made history by breaking into the prestigious list of top-scoring winter signings in Premier League history, according to global football statistics platform Transfermarkt.
Since joining Manchester City during the January transfer window, Marmoush has scored six goals in the Premier League and seven in all competitions, adding one assist in just 14 appearances. His standout performances have quickly earned him a place among the league’s most impactful mid-season acquisitions.
Marmoush is now joint 23rd on the all-time list of winter signings with the most goals in a single Premier League campaign, tied with 12 other players. With six league matches remaining, the 25-year-old Egyptian needs just three more goals to break into the top ten, a feat within reach given his current form.
The top spot on the list is held by Senegalese striker Papiss Cissé, who scored 13 goals in 14 matches for Newcastle United after joining from SC Freiburg in January 2012. He is followed by Andy Cole and Tony Yeboah, both with 12 goals each.
