TikTok and other similar programmes that violate the country's safety regulations are up for discussion in the Egyptian Senate.

The Egyptian Senate's decision to outlaw the application came after many legal actions were brought before Egyptian courts demanding that TikTok be taken from the Egyptian Internet and removed from Apple's and Google's app stores in Egypt.

An earlier case in Egypt alleged that TikTok encourages videos of bullying, violence, and pornography, and that it has even served as a conduit for drug trafficking and illicit currency exchange, all of which have a harmful impact on society, particularly adolescents.

It article went on to say that many young females are making films that are questionably obscene in order to gain the most popularity and reach on social media.

Attorney Samir Sabry has brought another case against the Prime Minister and the Information and Communications Ministers. In it, he said that TikTok broke the law, the constitution, and all moral, ethical, and social norms.

It attempts to spread immorality and offends modesty and public morals, he continued.

It also has a financial benefit, he added, as creators can earn more from TikTok the more followers they garner.
