Egypt’s non-oil exports surged by 18.2% in the first seven months of 2025, reaching $29.2 billion compared to $24.7 billion during the same period last year, according to Al Borsa News.
The data shows that the building materials sector led the export rankings with $8.43 billion, followed by chemicals and fertilizers at $5.3 billion, and food industries with $4.04 billion.
Engineering and electronics exports amounted to $3.85 billion, while agricultural commodities reached $3.05 billion. The ready-made garments sector contributed $1.94 billion.
Other key sectors included textiles with $681 million, medical industries at $598 million, and printing and packaging at $538 million.
Furniture exports stood at $353 million, followed by home furnishings with $204 million, handicrafts at $159 million, and leather and footwear products with $54 million.
The figures underscore the government’s efforts to expand Egypt’s non-oil export base and diversify revenue streams, with construction-related and chemical products continuing to dominate the trade balance.
