The Egyptian government denied on Tuesday the authenticity of the circulated WhatsApp voice message attributed to an official in the Ministry of Health.
The message claimed the deterioration of the health situation in isolation hospitals with severe shortages of beds as well as the turning of university cities into field hospitals in various governorates, amidst an increasing number of coronavirus cases.
As of April 27, there have been 147,539,302 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 3,116,444 deaths reported to WHO.
