The Egyptian government has intensified preparations for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly leading a high-level meeting to oversee the progress of the project and surrounding developments.

The meeting, attended by senior officials from various ministries and authorities, focused on finalizing infrastructure, enhancing access to the site, and completing museum installations.

Dr. Madbouly emphasized the museum's significance as a global cultural landmark that showcases Egypt's rich heritage.

He highlighted President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to ensure seamless coordination of transportation systems, aesthetic improvements to the surrounding areas, and readiness for the grand opening.

Key updates included the near completion of the Hall of King Tutankhamun, ongoing work on the Solar Boat Museum, and the development of green spaces, lighting, and road networks around the museum.

The meeting also reviewed promotional strategies, logistical arrangements for international guests, and proposals for the opening ceremony.

Officials stressed the importance of aligning all efforts to reflect the grandeur of Egypt's civilization and enhance the visitor experience.

A final proposal for the opening date and celebration scenarios will be submitted to President El-Sisi for approval.
