The Egyptian Football Association, EFA, set May 5 as the final date for the Egyptian Super Cup that will be hosted in the UAE, according to media outlets.
The upcoming super cup will be for the 2021/2022 season, and Al Zamalek are one of the game's parties as they are the champions of the Egyptian Premier League.
The second party of the game will be determined after the final of the Egyptian Cup between Al Ahly, and Pyramids.
Last month, after a six-month suspension, prominent forward Mahmoud Kahraba marks his return by scoring a goal and contributing to two others, as Al Ahly qualified for the 2022 Egypt Cup final following a 3-1 victory over Smouha at the Cairo international stadium on Tuesday night.
The semi-finals of the Egypt Cup have resumed, two months after the quarter-finals were played back in November.
On Monday, Pyramids secured their spot in the final after beating Zamalek in the penalty shootout after playing a 1-1 draw for 120 minutes.
A day later, Al Ahly hosted Smouha in Cairo to discover who will face Pyramids FC in the final scheduled to take place in February.
