The Egyptian Cabinet headed by Dr. Moustafa Madbouly announced that Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are official holidays.
In an official statement released on Wednesday, the cabinet highlighted that Saturday, May 1 is a paid official holiday on the occasion of International Workers' Day for all workers in the public, governmental, and private sectors.
Moreover, the upcoming Monday, May 3 is declared as a paid official holiday on the occasion of Spring's day (Sham Al Nasim) for all workers in the public, governmental, and private sectors.
Finally, next Sunday, May 2 is announced as a paid official day off for all workers in the public, governmental, and private sectors aiming to decrease the number of crowding citizens in governmental, public, and private institutions amid the third wave of COVID-19.
It is worthy to mention that Thursday, April 29 will be a paid official holiday instead of Sunday, April 25 on the occasion of Sinai Liberation Day.
