Nicosia, Sept 29 (SEE)- Mai Khalil, Egypt’s ambassador to Cyprus received on Saturday released Egyptian fishermen in Cyprus.
Cypriot court released the fishermen yesterday, after being held for a week.
"The fishermen have violated the territorial waters of Northern Cyprus," the court said.
The Egyptian embassy in Nicosia secured the release of the fishermen, who were finned € 500.
Khalil was keen on receiving them as they arrived at Limassol port in Southern Cyprus.
