The Egyptian Community Association in Europe expressed its deep concern over some people calling for the abolition of the Immigration Ministry.

In light of the critical international circumstances, the current stage, especially in the eastern Mediterranean region, requires maintaining this ministry within the framework of preserving Egypt's strategic interests, according to a statement received by the association.

Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs

Some people claimed that the Ministry pays financial rewards to Egyptian communities abroad to ignore their problems, which is considered a severe insult to every Egyptian outside the country.

In response, the association firmly expressed its great dismay at the accusation, affirming that Egyptians are not for sale or purchase. It also added that it is a purely slanderous statement, asserting that doubting the loyalty of Egyptians abroad to their mother country is totally unacceptable.

Furthermore, the statement stressed that the members of the association and their leaders may understand some of the criticism directed at the Ministry of Immigration, but such criticism does not mean that it should be removed, but rather the opposite.

It also called on people to show a sense of responsibility and adopt a strategic view of the Egyptian immigration policy, which needs an existing ministry, not a call for its abolition.
