The activities of the joint Egyptian-American training "Bright Star 2023" continued at the Mohamed Naguib Military Base, with the participation of a number of countries.
The training activities included carrying out a number of typical and non-typical shooting with live ammunition for various weapons from different firing positions. Training (SOF-09) was also carried out to exchange experiences in the field of special forces. Chemical warfare equipment from the countries participating in the training was also reviewed.
The training activities included the implementation of the Joint Command Centers Project (CPX), which included many theoretical and practical lectures, preparation and organization procedures for battle, command and control work, exchange of experiences and information, and training in decision-making, as well as the participation of International Committee of the Red Cross experts in a number of training activities.
The training activities also included the implementation of a number of short training courses (STX) dealing with confronting a piloted aircraft, combating snipers, confronting explosive devices, and first aid. Training also took place on medical search and rescue work and implementing an air medical evacuation operation with the participation of the Air Force and members of the Medical Services Department. Implementing a number of lectures in the field of cybersecurity.
The naval forces carried out a number of training activities with their counterparts from the participating countries, which included a number of lectures to unify concepts, exchange combat experiences, and implement a number of sailing formations. Air force members from the participating countries also carried out joint air sorties to train in air combat and refueling in the air.
All agencies of the General Command of the Armed Forces continue to organize and plan well for various training activities and coordinate the joint efforts of all countries to achieve the maximum possible benefit from the training, which is one of the largest joint land, sea and air exercises in the region.
