On Wednesday, the 2024/2025 Egyptian Premier League season will kick off with a new format.
The inaugural matchday of the Egyptian league will be opened by two games.
The first game will take place at the Border Guard Stadium (Al Max) as Border Guard will host another Alexandrian team, Smouha.
The second game will take place at the New Suez Stadium between Tala'e El Giesh and Al Masry.
The competitions of the EPL will be concluded on November 2.
The new format is based on the participation of the whole 18 teams. After that, the top nine will advance to compete for the title, and the qualifying tickets to the African competitions.
While the rest will compete to avoid relegation.
