Egyptian Pharmacist Salwa Sami Discovers Treatment for Breast Cancer

Salwa Sami Ghoneim, an Egyptian Pharmacist has discovered a hybrid drug for the treatment of breast cancer by combining two types of drugs. The laboratory experiments proved the effectiveness of this hybrid drug as a stabilizer for enzymes, which increase the occurrence of tumors because helps to limit its activity that affects Cancer cell fission.

A study prepared by Ghoneim, showed that treatment with this substance is less toxic than traditional chemotherapy since it specifically targets cancer cells and prevents its multiplication.

It was considered the first scientific research to be discussed by video conference. The researcher communicated with Dr. Darius Zlotos, a Pharmacy Professor and the Supervisor of the research in Germany.
