Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Champions Bring Home 9 Medals

12 players comprised the Egyptian national team that competed at the European Modern Pentathlon Youth Cup.

The males' team included Ahmed Mohamed El-Adawy, Adham Hany Fouda, Nour El-Din Karem,  Youssef Karani, Eiad Al-Kashef, Omar Wael Ezzat.

On the other hand, the females' team embraced Amira Kandil, Zena Amer, Noran Al-Behiry, Malak Kahled, Salma Hany Fouda, and Hania Tarek.

El-Adawy's Remarkable Achievement

El-Adawy competed at the U9 boys' competition. Although this was the first time for him to participate at an international championship, he snatched the silver medal.

In this regard, Head of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation Sherif El-Erian expressed, "I see a brilliant future for Al-Adawy in the sport."

The Females' Competitions

Amazing was the girls' performance as Al-Behiry, Amer, and Fouda won gold, silver, and bronze, at the U17 girls' pision, respectively. The three champions together claimed the gold of the U17 teams' matches.

As for the U19 games, Kandil and Khaled claimed gold and bronze, respectively. Tarek ended fourth. The three of them were the champions of the U19 teams' competition.

The Males' Tournament

Moving to the boys' event, at the U19 teams' matches, the line-up formed by Fouda, Wael, and Karem earned silver.

About the Championship

At the eye-catching city, Barcelona, the prestigious championship was celebrated. In addition to Egypt, and Spain (the hosting country), players from the following countries competed: Mexico, France, Portugal, Austria, and Guatemala.
