Nabila Makram, the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad welcomed Dr. Ashraf Reda, the President of the Egyptian Council for Fine Arts, to receive the official logo of the "Etkalem Masri" initiative before its official launch.
Makram expressed her utter gratitude to Dr. Reda for presenting the official logo of the "Etkalem Masri" initiative, which will be launched in the near future in preparation for the launching of the first stage of the initiative.
Makram confirmed that the logo would be registered in the name of the initiative and Dr. Reda to protect its ownership rights.
The minister added that the logo represents this initiative, which aims to teach the new generations abroad the Arabic language in its simple Egyptian form as a linking tool between them and their motherland, Egypt.
Thus, the logo contains all of the visual elements that express the Egyptian culture and identity to attract the targeted segment by the initiative and help its spreading.
The President of the Egyptian Council for Fine Arts used many patterns and symbols inspired by the Egyptian identity to design the logo like the Nubian Motifs and some symbols of the Pharaonic Civilization with pure Egyptian colors.
Dr. Reda also used a modern font in writing the words "Etkalem Masri" to make the logo more suitable for the initiative and the targeted age group.
This comes in coordination with the publishing house "Nahdet Masr." that is responsible for the implementation of the project in its different stages.
The first stage of the project includes the children from three to six years old, this stage depends on extending the common Arabic words and teaching the Arabic letter; besides, merging these letters to form words. The content also include interactive activities, stories, songs, and videos.
It is important to mention that the international star of the Egyptian origins, Mena Masoud agreed to promote the "Etkalem Masri" initiative directly after the first stage of the project. This shows the star's pride in his Egyptian origins.
Masoud was born on September, 17th, 1991 in Cairo with two Egyptian parents before their immigration to Canada. He also played "Alaadin." in the live-action adaptation of the film that earned him a worldwide recognition especially between the Egyptians abroad.
Thus, the initiative is expected to spread wider among Egyptians around the world.
