Egyptian embassy in Russia held Wednesday a celebration on the occasion of the glorious July 23rd revolution anniversary.
The celebration was attended by an unprecedented number of various political, diplomatic, military, media and press representatives as well as a large number of Egyptian community members.
“July 23rd revolution was an opportunity for the Egyptian people’s to realise their dreams and aspiration towards a better future,” Egyptian ambassador to Russia Ehab Talaat Nasr said in his word before the celebration.
Moreover, he reviewed the progress and development witnessed by the Egyptian-Russian relations over the last years as well as major joint projects including: El Dabaa nuclear power plant and the Russian industrial zone (RIZ) in Egypt.
On his part, Russian deputy foreign minister and special presidential envoy for the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov expressed happiness to attend this event.
“Egypt is Russia key partner in the Middle East,” Bongdanov confirmed. “This is reflected through the partnership and strategic cooperation agreement signed between both countries during President El Sisi’s latest visit to Sochi.”
Additionally, the embassy media adviser Ayman Mousa stressed that July 23 revolution clearly highlighted the Egyptian army's keenness to respond to the Egyptians’ hopes and aspirations.
“During June 30 Revolution, Egypt’s armed forces did not hesitate to stand behind the people and protect their revolution,” Mousa added.
