Egyptian Embassy: Baku-Sharm El-Sheikh Direct Flights Resumed

The direct flights between Azerbaijan’s capital Baku and Sharm El-Sheikh city in Egypt have been resumed on March 18, 2022, the Egyptian embassy in Baku announced. 

The embassy added that one flight per week will be operated between the two cities.

It is worth mentioning that the resumption of the direct flight is an important step towards enhancing tourism from Azerbaijan to the Egyptian tourist cities.

Moreover, this move also boosted Azerbaijan-Egypt bilateral ties, which witnessed a boom during the past few months, as reflected in mutual meetings and visits, including Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat’s recent visit to Baku in late February 2022.
