The World Youth Festival (WYF) organizing committee, which took place in Russia last March, commended the Egyptian delegation for their participation.

The festival saw participation from 20,000 individuals representing 187 countries. The young people contributed to building bridges of communication, engaging in transparent dialogue to find a unified vision for the future of humanity, advocating for peace and upholding principles of friendship and solidarity among nations.

In his remarks, Festival director Denis Ashirov noted that the foreign delegations displayed a high spirit and great communication among the world’s youth.

Regarding the Egyptian participation, Ashirov praised the delegation of 126 individuals for presenting an honorable image of Egyptian youth and culture while actively engaging in all activities. He also highlighted the support from the Egyptian state, particularly the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which elevated the Egyptian delegation to a distinguished status. Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, was present at a major celebration held at the Olympic Center in Maadi to honor the Egyptian delegation and the preparatory committee.

In his address, Sobhi acknowledged the success of Egyptian youth diplomacy in connecting with global youth and thanked the delegation for representing Egypt and showcasing its culture and values to the world. Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah Al-Batash, head of the Egyptian delegation, and other speakers highlighted the delegation's discipline and outstanding interaction at the festival.

Then, the delegation presented various artistic performances, including ballet and singing in Arabic and Russian.

At the end of the ceremony, the Minister of Youth and Sports honored the members of the Egyptian delegation and the preparatory committee.
