Egyptian Culture Reaches Al-Atmania Village in Assiut

For the first time in history, the Egyptian culture reached the village of Al-Atmaniya, which is affiliated to El- Badari Center, in the governorate of Assiut.

El-Badari Center, Assiut hosted the theatrical show “Awlad Al Balade” and was attended by 8,000 viewers.

“Awlad Al Balade” will rotate around the villages and centers of Assiut for 15 consecutive days.

Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, stressed that the theater of confrontation has been working since its beginning to combat extremism and intolerance, believing in the ability of creativity to reshape awareness and elevate conscience.

Abdel Dayem said that the theater of confrontation aims to reshape awareness and achieve cultural justice.

It includes many positive messages that invite young people to work and to dream of a bright future for Egypt.

It is noteworthy that the tour of “ Awlad Al Balade “ in Upper Egypt began on the first of December from Al-Minya Governorate, presenting shows for 15 nights, then it moved to Assiut Governorate and will continue in its various centers until the end of this month -December.

Awlad Al Balade “ is produced by confrontation theater group – affiliated to The Artistic House for Theater, headed by the artist Ismail Mukhtar; the show is directed by the artist Mohamed El Sharkawy.

The performance deals with many social issues; its starring are: Mohamed Zidan, Mohamed Abasiri, Wael Mustafa, Adel Youssef, Mohamed Saleh, Ruwaida Abdel Salam Hisham Tariq, Sahar Abdel-Wahab, Nourhan Salem, Jacqulina Raafat, Israa Ahmed, Yasser Al-Rifai, Amir Abdel-Hamid, Mahmoud Fathi, Ahmed Mostafa; lighting by Abu Bakr Al-Sharif, dances by Farouk Jaafar, it was written by Mostafa Salim.
