Diplomatic sources reported that Egyptian Chargé d'Affairs Mohamed Tharwat Selim had arrived in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, to take over the position of charge d'affaires of Egypt's embassy.
According to what was confirmed by these sources, this comes within the framework of work on arrangements and preparation related to the resumption of the work of the embassy in Tripoli.
It is noteworthy that Tharwat held the position of Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, and assumed the position of Chargé d'Affairs of the Egyptian Embassy in Damascus, and one of the ambassadors known for their competence.
On Saturday, Selim has been appointed as Chargé d’Affairs to Tripoli, Libya. The sources added that Egypt will appoint Ambassador Tamer Moustafa as Egypt’s Consul General in Benghazi, after Eid al-Fetr.
