The World Handball Championship's Local Organizing Committee chairman Hussein Labib announced that Ontime Sports channel has acquired the rights to the exclusive broadcast of the 27th IHF Men's Handball World Championship, Egypt 2021.
Labib indicated that the Egyptian channel will broadcast the tournament matches on the open satellite frequency throughout the entire Arab region.
Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi affirmed that it was unacceptable for the championship to be held on the land of Egypt and a non-Egyptian channel to be granted rights and control the broadcast of matches.
He also praised the cooperation of Dr. Hassan Mostafa, President of the International Handball Federation, in this file.
The Egyptian national team is in Group G of the 2021 World Handball Championship which is to be held in Cairo; the group includes Sweden, the Czech Republic and Chile along with Egypt.
Egypt will host the IHF Men's Handball World Championship from 13 to 31 January 2021 with participation of 32 teams.
