Egyptian actor Ahmed Andel tragically passed away early Monday, succumbing to a heart attack at the age of 36.

 Andel had been known for his supporting roles in notable films and television series, leaving a mark on the industry despite his young age.

The funeral proceedings for the late actor were scheduled to take place following the midday prayers at El-Hosary Mosque, situated in 6 October City. Andel's premature demise shocked the industry and his fans, who had appreciated his performances over the years.

One of his most recognized roles was his portrayal of the martyred officer Islam Mashhour in the popular TV series "The Choice 2: Men of Shadow" which aired during Ramadan 2021. The character became a fan favorite, significantly raising Andel's profile in the acting world.

Born in 1987, Andel was a graduate of the esteemed Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, having completed his studies in 2017. His filmography includes roles in films such as "Wa'fet Regala" (2021) and "Night/Exterior" (2018), along with TV appearances like "El-Zebaq" (2017). Despite his brief career, he made an impression with each small but significant role.

Andel's final posts on social media had been an emotional tribute to his mother, who had passed away seven months prior. His posts reflected his deep sorrow and his heartfelt prayers for her.
