Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the Lebanese Parliament's vote of confidence in the new government, secured by a substantial majority on Wednesday.

In an official statement, the ministry's spokesperson hailed the development as a crucial step towards restoring Lebanon's security, stability, sovereignty, and unity, reaffirming its rightful place in the region.

The statement described the confidence vote as the beginning of a new chapter for Lebanon, offering hope for fulfilling the legitimate aspirations of the Lebanese people.

It also emphasized Egypt's unwavering solidarity with Lebanon, pledging continued support for the government and national institutions. This commitment reflects the deep historical bonds and close relations between the two countries.

Furthermore, Egypt reiterated its firm stance on implementing the ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon and demanded the immediate, complete, and unconditional withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area.

The statement underscored Egypt's support for empowering the Lebanese Armed Forces and state institutions to enforce United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701. It called for the resolution's full and simultaneous implementation without selectivity and urged an end to Israel's repeated violations of Lebanese sovereignty.

Egypt's statement highlights its ongoing commitment to Lebanon's stability and security, underscoring its dedication to supporting the Lebanese people and promoting peace in the region.
