The Head of Solar Research Laboratory at the National Research Institute of Astronomy (NRIAG) Dr. Yasser Abdel Hadi said that tomorrow, Thursday, September 26, will witness the equality of hours between night and day.
Abdel Hadi said that tomorrow's sunrise will be at 6:46 am, and the sunset will be 6:46 pm (Cairo time).
On Saturday, Egypt welcomed the the Autumnal equinox will take place.
The equinox will declare the end of the 2024 summer season that lasted for 93 days, and 15 hours.
According to astronomical studies, autumn will last for 89 days, and 20 hours which is the time of the autumn equinox.
During an equinox, the Sun crosses the “celestial equator." The Sun’s center passes through the equator.
In the Northern Hemisphere, when the Sun crosses the equator from north to south, this is called the autumnal equinox, but for the Southern Hemisphere is the reverse.
