On Monday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that Egypt is expected to see a slight decline in temperatures starting today until Saturday, warning citizens against wearing light clothing as winter is not over yet.

Egypt witnessed on Sunday bad weather marked by strong sandstorms that reduced visibility and soared temperature nationwide.

The EMA said the dust started to subside as of Sunday evening and visibility became clearer, with the coming days expected to see more improvement.

"Over the coming days, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, north Upper Egypt, and Sinai are predicted to experience warm weather, while the northern coast will experience moderate weather during the daytime," the EMA added.

Also, south Upper Egypt is expected to witness hot weather.

However, the EMA noted that extremely cold weather is forecast to prevail across the country during nighttime.

From Monday to Saturday, Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 23-18 degrees Celsius and lows of 12-9 degrees until Saturday.

The northern coast is expected to see highs of 20-17 degrees and lows of 13-11, while South Sinai will see highs of 27-21 and lows of 15-12.

Moreover, North Upper Egypt will see highs of 27-18 and lows of 12-8, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 36-22 and lows of 19-11, according to the EMA.
