Egypt to Receive 2.5 Million Doses of Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Soon

Egypt is set to receive 2.5 million doses of Pfizer coronavirus vaccine during the coming period, according to Health Ministry spokesman.

 

In televised remarks, the spokesman added that the locally manufactured Senovac COVID-19 vaccine will be distributed among vaccination centers across the country as of August, 14.

 

On Saturday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 61 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 284,641.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 16,566 nationwide after the ministry announced 4 deaths.

About 224 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 232,825.
