Egypt to Receive 10 M. Sputnik V Vaccine

On Saturday, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health emphasized that Egypt has set a deal with Russia to purchase ten million Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine doses.

He told Youm 7 that the Egyptian authorities has sent the required expanses for buying the vaccine doses.

Moreover, the spokesperson revealed that the ministry has conducted an agreement for getting four million Johnson and Johnson vaccine doses. They may arrive in the final quarter of 2021.

Egypt will also receive a new AsreaZeneca shipment that carry 1.7 million doses on May 9, alongside 1 million Sinopharm doses.

It is worthy to mention that 750, 000 persons have received the vaccine out of 1.9 million person who submitted their information.

Two days ago, the daily recorded number of infections surpassed 1000 cases with an obvious rise in number of deaths.
