The Spanish national football team officially announced that they will face Egypt in an international friendly match next March.
The announcement was made through Spain’s official account on the social media platform “X,” confirming that the match will take place on 30 March 2026.
The Spanish Football Federation also revealed that the game will be hosted at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Qatar, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 PM Cairo time.
This friendly encounter comes as part of the preparations for both national teams ahead of upcoming international competitions and is expected to be a strong test given the quality and recent performances of both sides.
Meanwhile, the technical meeting for Egypt’s semi-final match against Senegal in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, currently being held in Morocco, has been concluded.
On Monday evening, the Egypt national team delegation, led by head coach Hossam Hassan, traveled to Tangier in preparation for the semi-final.
The team had been based in Agadir throughout the tournament, where they played their group-stage matches against Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Angola, before defeating Benin in the Round of 16 and Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals.
Egypt now aim to overcome Senegal and secure a place in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 final.
