On Friday, Egypt will start to apply winter working hours for shops, restaurants, and cafes.
The decision of the Local Development Ministry that came into force last year covers workshops and trading malls.
Shops and trading centers open daily from 7 am to 10 pm.
However, the working hours are extended on weekends, and public holidays to be from 7 am to 11 pm.
Restaurants, cafes and bazaars, including those in trading centers, open daily from 5 am am to 12 am.
The services of takeaway and home delivery for restaurants and cafes can be on for 24 hours.
All workshops and handicraft shops inside residential areas open daily from 8 am to and 6 pm.
Workshops that are on the roads, gas stations, and those associated with citizen services are excluded from the decision.
Grocery stores, supermarkets and bakeries are also excluded from the decision.
The opening hours for shops located in governorates that have tourist activities could be adjusted by the Local Development Minister based on the proposal of the Governor.
