Egypt's Ministry of Health has implemented several measures to prevent cholera transmission following its outbreak in Sudan.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that since the beginning of the Sudanese crisis and the spread of cholera, the Egyptian state has been emphasizing dealing with health incidents in the preventive medicine sector.
Abdel Ghaffar added, during a phone call with anchor Ahmed Moussa on the program "On My Responsibility" on "Sada El Balad" channel, that cholera spreads as a result of contamination in drinking water and food, which leads to the transmission of cholera to humans.
