The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts moderately warm to hot weather to prevail in most of the country during Thursday’s daylight hours.
Extremely hot weather is also expected to hit the South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.
The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, the North Coast, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt.
Wind will occur occasionally across the country.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters in height, with northwest surface winds.
The Red Sea will experience moderate waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height, with northwest surface winds.
There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez, with wind speed reaching 50 to 60 km/hr and wave height ranging from 2 to 3 meters.
Moderate weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and early hours.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 34°C in Cairo, 30°C in Alexandria, 28°C in Marsa Matruh, 37°C in Sohag, 41°C in Qena, and 41°C in Aswan.
