The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMS) announced today a set of indicators for Egyptian trade exchange with the Sahel and Sahara countries, as the value of total exports to the Sahel and Sahara countries amounted to $4,084 million in 2021, compared to $2,859 million in 2020, an increase of 42.8%.
The highest values were concentrated in five African countries with a rate of 78.1% of the total of this bloc.
The ranking of countries is as follows:
1-Libya: the value of exports amounted to $961 million, representing 23.5% of the bloc's total.
2- Sudan: the value of exports amounted to $827 million, or 20.2% of the total bloc.
3-Morocco: the value of exports amounted to $757 million, representing 18.5% of the bloc's total.
4-Kenya: The value of exports amounted to $382 million, representing 9.4% of the bloc's total.
5-Tunisia: the value of exports amounted to $264 million, representing 6.5% of the bloc's total.
