The recovery rate from COVID-19 in the Egyptian isolation hospitals has reached 83.3%, after the total number of people recovering from the virus increased to 317,199, according to the Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
On Sunday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 823 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 381,343.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 21,608 nationwide after the ministry announced 37 deaths.
About 543 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 317,199.
Egypt has managed so far to vaccinate around 50 million people against the Coronavirus.
The country’s vaccination campaign started in January using various types of imported and locally made vaccines and vaccinating millions of citizens.
