Egypt emphasized its unwavering commitment to the constants and frameworks of a political resolution for the Palestinian cause.
In a statement, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed that the Palestinian issue remains central to Middle Eastern affairs, highlighting Egypt's dedication to ending the Israeli occupation, ensuring the return of Palestinian rights, and laying the foundation for stability in the region.
The statement underscored Egypt's ongoing support for the Palestinian people's legitimate rights to their land, homeland, and self-determination, consistent with international law and human rights principles.
The ministry also condemned practices that undermine these rights, including settlement expansions, land confiscations, forced displacements, and other measures that exacerbate the conflict and hinder efforts toward peace.
Egypt called on the international community to take serious steps to resolve the situation, stressing the urgency of implementing a two-state solution. This includes establishing an independent Palestinian state along the borders of June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, while uniting the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Moreover, the ministry also highlighted the need to adhere to international resolutions and the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative, urging efforts to prevent the spread of violence in the region and work toward achieving peace and stability for all.
