The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced its expectations for weather starting from Monday which coincides with the first day of Eid El-Fitr, until Saturday.
It anticipates hot weather during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and the governorates of northern Upper Egypt.
Mild weather prevails on northern coasts. Temperatures will rise in the southern governorates of Upper Egypt, with very hot weather prevailing.
Cooler weather prevails at night over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and northern Upper Egypt.
The weather will be colder on the northern coasts, and moderate on South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Meteorologists expect rain on Monday in the northwestern parts of Salloum and Matrouh, which may extend lightly to the city of Alexandria.
Wind activity is expected across most of the nation.
Meteorologists advised citizens with chest disease and sinus allergies to put a facemask and sunglasses when leaving home due to dust-laden winds in the afternoon.
On Monday, temperatures are expected to record 34C in Cairo and 19C at night.
As for the city of Alexandria, it is expected that the highest temperatures willo
be recorded at 33C with the lowest at 18C.
Wind activity is expected in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and northern coasts, blowing up sand and dust in the far west of the country at intermittent intervals.
There are chances of rainfall on areas of Salloum and Matrouh, which may extend lightly to the city of Alexandria.
