Egypt participated in the 17th edition of the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong. The forum brought together leading policymakers and industry players from the world of finance and business to engage in meaningful, forward-looking conversations and find ways to collaborate for success on today's most pressing issues.
During a plenary session on the sidelines of the forum, Egypt’s Minister of Planning & Economic Development Dr. Hala Elsaid emphasized Egypt's resilience in the face of global challenges and discussed the importance of multilateral cooperation.
Elsaid said that her government's focus remains on development and attracting private investments, exemplified by the success of our National Economic and Social Reform Program.
She noted that Egypt secured the top spot in Africa for FDI flows, showcasing remarkable growth, particularly in key sectors such as agriculture, communications, information technology and tourism.
Elsaid further mentioned that Egypt is a gateway for believers and a runway for doers. "This sentiment resonated profoundly during my tour of our pavilion, where our youth passionately showcased our legacy, rich culture, and the vast opportunities that lie ahead."
