Egypt’s national football team has moved up four places in the FIFA World Rankings for January, rising from 35th to 31st globally with a total of 1556.71 points.
The latest rankings confirmed Morocco’s continued dominance in African football, as the Atlas Lions remain the continent’s top team and rank eighth in the world with 1736.57 points.
Senegal follow as the second-best African team, sitting 12th globally with 1706.83 points.
Nigeria hold the third African spot, ranked 26th worldwide with 1581.55 points.
Algeria come in fourth on the continent, placed 28th globally with 1560.91 points.
Egypt’s rise to 31st place makes the Pharaohs the fifth-ranked team in Africa, marking a significant improvement in their international standing.
