On Tuesday, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Egypt, Kim Yonghyon met with Dr. Rasha Ragheb, Executive Director of the National Training Academy to discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation in the area of human resources development.
Ambassador Kim said that under the leadership of Dr. Rasha Ragheb, NTA has become a prestigious education and training institute in Egypt to raise future Egyptian leaders in the public sector.
He also mentioned he is pleased that the cooperation between NTA and Korea has been active through signing a number of MOUs between NTA and Korea’s relevant institutions to enhance bilateral cooperation in human resources capacity building.
The Ambassador added the Korean government is committed to assisting Egypt to train competent government officials through various programs including KOICA training programs which more than 1,900 Egyptian government officials have benefited from.
Dr. Ragheb expressed her appreciation for the Korean government’s support of NTA’s human capacity-building efforts and introduced various NTA programs to develop human resources and enhance leadership, especially for the youth and women.
The officials also exchanged views on the bilateral cooperation in establishing an advanced science and technology institute in Egypt and agreed to make continuous joint efforts to bring the discussion to fruition in the near future.
