Data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMS) showed that the value of Egyptian exports to the G20 countries increased, to a record $17.9 billion during the first 8 months of 2022, compared to $12.6 billion during the same period in 2021, an increase of 42.9%.
The value of Egyptian imports from G20 countries amounted to $42.9 billion during the first 8 months of 2022, compared to $37.8 billion during the same period in 2021, an increase of 13.6%.
The figures indicated an increase in the value of trade exchange between Egypt and the G20 countries, reaching $60.9 billion during the first 8 months of 2022, compared to $50.4 billion during the same period in 2021, an increase of 20.9%.
Turkey came at the top of the list of the top ten G20 countries importing from Egypt during the first 8 months of 2022; Egypt's exports amounted to $2.6 billion, and Italy came second with $2.4 billion
China topped the list of the top ten countries in the Group of Twenty in exporting to Egypt during the first 8 months of 2022; Egypt's imports amounted to $9.9 billion.
