Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sweilam held a meeting on Monday with the Special Representative of the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Daniel Gustafson and his accompanying delegation in Al-Amin.
During the meeting, they discussed enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Irrigation and the FAO in the field of water, and joint coordination during various international events such as Cairo Water Week to put water on the Global Climate Action agenda.
In the same connection, Sweilam urged the FAO officials to support the initiative, which aims to implement sustainable projects in developing countries, especially African countries
The meeting was attended by the Regional Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization for the Near East and North Africa, Abdel Hakim Al-Waer, and FAO Representative in Egypt, Nasr El-Din Haj Al-Amin in Cairo.
