Egypt condemns Israeli attack on Iran

Egypt condemns the military attacks launched by the Israeli army against the Islamic Republic of Iran at dawn today. "These attacks represent a blatant and extremely dangerous regional escalation, a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to regional and international peace and security."

Egypt is following with deep concern the rapidly escalating developments and condemns this unjustified act, which will further escalate the crisis and lead to a wider conflict in the region. 

This will have unprecedented repercussions for the security and stability of the region, expose the resources of the region's peoples to grave danger, and threaten to plunge the entire region into a state of utter chaos.

Egypt reiterates its affirmation that there are no military solutions to the crises facing the region, but rather political and peaceful solutions. It also affirms that the arrogance of force will not achieve security for any country in the region, including Israel. Security can only be achieved through respect for the sovereignty of states, the unity and integrity of their territories, the achievement of justice, and the end of the Israeli occupation of Arab lands.
