Egypt strongly condemned the despicable terrorist attack that targeted the Iraqi city of Diyala Tuesday evening, leaving 11 civilians dead.
“Egypt offers its deep condolence to the families of the victims,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, wishing all the injured people a speedy recovery.
Egypt stressed full solidarity with Iraq against anything that could threaten its security and stability, highlighting its confidence that such horrific attacks will not undermine Iraq’s determination to achieve prosperity and development for its people, according to the statement.
Gunmen from IS group attacked a village in eastern Diyala province, killing at least 11 people and wounding more than a dozen people, according to local media outlets.
Moreover, officials said machine guns in the attack which took place in the predominantly Shia village of al Rashad northeast of Baqouba in Diyala province.
